After nearly 2 years, the reunion we’ve all been dreaming (and tweeting) about is finally happening. We survived (sending a group hug).

BTS Festa 2025 Officially Begins: Celebrating 12 Years With Bangtan

On 31st May 2025, BTS came live on Weverse and made it official that they have plenty of content planned to celebrate their 12th anniversary.

BTS Festa 2025

ARMYs around the globe are counting down the days till all seven boys reunite again. The excitement is unreal, and we know this reunion isn’t just about military completion — it’s about coming back stronger.

And yes, there are endless rumors floating around about a possible BTS World Tour in 2025 or 2026. Nothing official yet, but if anyone can shut down the world with an announcement, it’s BTS.

Let’s keep streaming, manifesting, and preparing our wallets for the chaos that will follow.

Everything That Happened Before BTS’ Military Enlistment

If you’re new to the fandom or joined after BTS went to the military, don’t panic. You definitely missed out on some major things, and a lot more things have happened. But let’s do a quick recap of major events you need to know!

Festa 2022 — When BTS Broke the News

Festa 2022 was emotional beyond words. What started off as a happy dinner with all members turned into a real, raw conversation.

The boys opened up about how they were feeling — the pressure, the exhaustion, and their desire to grow individually. They weren’t disbanding. They weren’t going anywhere. But they did say they needed a break from group activities to focus on solo projects.

It was one of the most transparent moments in BTS history. As fans, it was tough to process.

Twitter exploded with reactions. Some confused, some heartbroken, and some incredibly supportive. The word “hiatus” trended for hours. But in true ARMY fashion, we respected their decision and supported their solo paths with all our hearts.

Yet to Come Busan Concert 2022 – The Last OT7 Stage Before Military

Before fully stepping into their solo eras and enlisting, BTS gifted us one final OT7 stage: Yet to Come in Busan. This wasn’t just a concert — it was a full-blown cultural moment.

We also got the first-ever Run BTS Live performance, and yes, we all went insane seeing the energy.

Held for free in support of Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo, the concert took place at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium and was live-streamed to over 49 million people worldwide. The stage, the setlist, the energy — everything was top-tier. The concert felt like a love letter to ARMYs worldwide.

Shortly after the concert, BTS officially confirmed their military enlistment plans. You can still relive the magic (and the emotional pain) by streaming the full show on Amazon Prime. Grab tissues.

Each BTS Member Released Solo Projects Before Going to the Military

Before enlisting, each member poured their heart and soul into individual music projects. And each one reflected a side of them we hadn’t fully seen before.

  • Jin released The Astronaut, a heartfelt ballad co-written with Chris Martin of Coldplay. He even performed the song live in Argentina — a legendary moment that gave us all goosebumps.
  • J-Hope dropped his debut solo album, Jack In The Box, a gritty, experimental album that showed his darker, more introspective side. He later enlisted early in April 2023, following Jin.
  • RM gave us Indigo — an artistic masterpiece featuring a range of musical collaborators.
  • Jungkook released Golden, an album that showcased his pop power and global appeal.
  • Jimin gave us Muse — emotionally raw, vocally stunning.
  • Suga (under his Agust D persona) dropped D-Day, which deserves its own section, honestly.
  • V released Layover, his smooth, jazzy love letter to R&B fans.

Each album wasn’t just music — it was a window into their personal growth, their emotions, and their artistry. They truly gave us everything before enlisting.

Suga’s Solo Tour – D-Day in Asia and the USA

After releasing D-Day, Suga became the first BTS member to go on a solo tour — and oh boy, it was legendary.

Performing across major cities in Asia and the U.S., the D-Day Tour gave fans the full Agust D experience — intense, raw, powerful. And guess what?

I got to attend not one, but TWO shows in Jakarta, Indonesia. The energy? UNMATCHED. Watching Yoongi command the stage, seeing fans scream every lyric, and feeling that live version of Amygdala hit your soul? Truly unreal. That was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of night.

And yes, I cried a lot when Yoongi sang, “Snooze.”

Jungkook and the Calvin Klein 2023 Campaign

2023 was the year Jungkook owned the internet. As the brand ambassador for Calvin Klein, he broke the internet with those iconic campaign photos. And yes, I’m still not over it.

His visuals, his abs, the styling — it was all too much (in the best way possible). The campaign went viral everywhere, and Calvin Klein saw a massive spike in engagement and sales thanks to our golden maknae.

This was the moment that lives rent-free in every ARMY’s head.

No. 1s on Billboard Hot 100 — Seven and Like Crazy

Just because BTS was on hiatus doesn’t mean they stopped breaking records.

Two different sounds. Two different vibes. One shared outcome: HISTORY.

Jimin’s “Like Crazy” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first South Korean soloist to achieve this.

Jungkook’s “Seven” also hit #1 and dominated the charts globally.

The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon – 2023 Takeover

After their solo albums, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook each appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon for promotions.

Each appearance gave us amazing performances, charming interviews, and viral moments. It felt like BTS was everywhere again — even when they were technically on a break.

Jungkook’s TSX Entertainment Surprise Concert In NYC

In what can only be described as peak Jungkook behavior, he gave fans a surprise free concert in Times Square, New York, at TSX Entertainment.

Fans gathered in droves, Twitter went into meltdown mode, and Jungkook delivered yet another unforgettable moment. We LOVE a spontaneous king.

Jin’s Emotional Enlistment

Jin was the first BTS member to officially enlist — and it was the day ARMYs around the world collectively cried.

All six remaining members showed up to see him off, and the footage of that moment? Heartbreaking and beautiful. It showed the real bond BTS shares, and how emotional this journey was for them, too.

Jaw-Dropping Collabs That Had Us Screaming

During this chapter, BTS members gave us some of the most iconic collabs ever:

  • Jimin x TaeyangVibe was the perfect blend of vocals and visuals.
  • V starred in IU’s Love Wins All MV — stunning doesn’t even begin to cover it.
  • RM x Megan Thee StallionNeva Play was fire

RM’s Album Release During Military – “Right Place, Wrong Person”

In May 2024, even while serving in the military, RM dropped his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person. The album had 11 tracks that blended mellow, funky instrumentals with deep, introspective lyrics.

The song Lost went on to win four awards at Germany’s Ciclope Festival — for direction, cinematography, and design. This man really dropped out of rt while in uniform. Respect. 👏

“Are You Sure?!” – Jimin & Jungkook’s Travel Show

Jimin and Jungkook gave us this beautiful, chaotic, heartwarming travel series called Are You Sure?! on Disney+ Hotstar.

They explored new places, tried new foods, and melted our hearts with their chemistry. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, V made a surprise appearance mid-way!

J-Hope’s Album “Hope On The Street” & J.Cole Collab

While serving, J-Hope released his second album Hope On The Street, and it was packed with energy, vibes, and pure hope.

Jin Starts His Own Show – “Run Jin”

While Run BTS took a break, Jin launched his own variety-style show called Run Jin, available on YouTube! It’s full of laughter, Jin-style chaos, and the familiar comfort we’ve all missed.

And crazy enough? Jin X Tom Cruise actually happened! Check out below.

J-Hope Returns & Goes Live Immediately

When J-Hope completed his service, he was welcomed by Jin, flipping the script from when Jin enlisted. He immediately went live for ARMYs, proving once again that their connection with fans is the heart of everything.

J-Hope World Tour – And I Was There Too!

This one is personal again: I attended J-Hope’s world tour in Singapore — and it was, hands down, one of the best nights of my life.

Jin Drops New Album “Echo” + RunSEOKJIN EP Tour

Not only is Jin back, but he’s already on his RunSEOKJIN EP Tour, performing across cities worldwide. His new album, Echo, is full of emotion, elegance, and that signature Jin sound we love.

J-Hope’s New Single – “Killin’ It Girl”

And just when we thought we were safe, J-Hope came in with another bomb: Killin’ It Girl. The concept photos were released, and the pictures are way too much to handle (but we’re handling it anyway).
